Steinhauser Realtree Edge Pocket Combo | 30" Light Action Fiberglass No Tangle Rod | Micro Spincast Reel w/ 4.1:1 Gear Ratio| Spinner Bait

I have bought over 24 of these to use on a tour and that had a casting challenge with limited space on faux pond with fake rocks and reeds around it. What I found out is the reel wears out really fast. Probably after several hundred casts, the line wears a notch in the spool from the line rubbing in the same place every it reels in the string. The 9 lb. test line then gets snagged in the worn pit and prevents it from casting properly and reeling in the line.ALL 24 of the reels wore out. Because I still had days left for the event i had to file the pit worn by the monofilment lint to round it out and get another 100 or so casts out of it.The internal metal the reel is made is very soft and cheep.So, my recommendation is if you buy one of these, know it has a short life before it starts to malfunction from wearing out.

Bought for my daughter, 8. Great for her as the line does not get tangled around the pole.I have started using it for shore fishing with a lot of overhang from trees. Short pole allows for getting to places a longer pole would get hung up in.I would recommend adding a large needle and thread to your tackle. If the line breaks and comes out of the pole, it is very difficult to re-thread through the pole. If you have a large sewing needle and thread it's much easier to get the line through the pole and start fishing again.The reel is pretty cheap. I think I'll be replacing it fairly soon.

I’m not a frequent Fisher I’ve only been out a few times and have never caught anything until now. Caught my 1st fish with this rod a 14 inch lake bass. Great rod it for beginners it doesn’t tangle and casts easily. Awesome small size that expands, easy to transport in your car without taking up any room and getting tangled on anything. Solid build it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. All and all it’s the perfect fishing rod for me and my kids.

This thing is amazing! I thought it extended to a full size rod, but it doesn't. However, I've already caught several fish. It's perfect for my kayak! My boyfriend is wanting to purchase one now as well!

Item arrived in similar packaging shown in the picture, but it's all Profishency branded. Not Steinhauser as indicated. Tried casting in the driveway and the line would not release. Unscrewed the assembly and realized there is a metal tab that is meant to grab the line and stop it from unreeling. That metal tab does not push in all the way when you depress the button, so there's no way for the line to extract. I ordered an actual Steinhauser from a different vendor and it works great. Returned this knock off right away.

This is my absolute FAVORITE fishing pole. Love the design. Love that it fits perfectly in my tackle box backpack. And love love love how easy it is to carry around with me basically all the time and now have to worry about it fitting in the car or anywhere else. I’ve caught some pretty decent fish on this bad boy :)

Love this rod/reel I keep it in my car and my other one I keep in my hiking day bag awesome..just wish it was a little less expensive but it's worth the money..😏

Arrived with reel disassembled (3 pieces cover, main assembly, button control). No assembly instructions. Assembled, but could not get it to work. Emailed them, no response. Returned it.
